
The Queens Hotel & Spa in Bournemouth has officially reopened following a major multi million pound refurbishment, unveiling a refreshed guest experience alongside the appointment of a new General Manager to lead the next chapter of the historic coastal property. Just five minutes from Bournemouth’s seafront, the hotel now welcomes guests with upgraded facilities, redesigned interiors, and an enhanced focus on premium hospitality.
To mark the relaunch, the hotel hosted an exciting three-night series of “Sip & Sea” events, welcoming more than 300 corporate, agency, influencer, and local community guests through its doors. The events showcased the extensive transformation and provided an exclusive first look at the refurbished property, with strong engagement from key stakeholders across the region.
Following the successful relaunch, industry veteran Louis Rigney has been appointed as General Manager, bringing more than 25 years of hospitality experience to oversee operations and guest services at the revitalised hotel. Rigney said:

The refurbishment has transformed the property, which now features 109 bedrooms across six room types, alongside upgraded spa and wellness facilities, refurbished event spaces, and enhanced landscaped gardens.Key event space the Purbeck Suite—popular for conferences, weddings, and private dining—has been fully refurbished, while the leisure club has been upgraded with a modernised gym, improved changing facilities, and new treatment rooms designed to elevate the guest wellness experience.
